Thanks to the Royal Thai Consulate for arranging the workshop venue and providing translation services
Thanks to the Census Bureau and the Mayor's Office of Census 2010 for brining the very critical Census information to our community
Thanks to the Thai Complete Count Committee (Thai CCC) for spreading the word and making sure every single Thai will be counted!
The United States Constitution mandates that a national count of everyone living in the United States be taken every 10 years.
Every household will be mailed a simple Census form in March 2010. The census data will guide decision makers in
allocating over $ 430 billion/each year for essential public programs that will benefit you and your family.
10 easy questions take less than 10 minutes to complete! In the Census form, only a few simple questions of each person
in the household are asked including
- name
- relationship
- gender
- age and date of birth
- race
- whether the respondent owns or rents his or her home
- NO IMMIGRATION STATUS and NO INCOME LEVEL are asked

Note: this is just a sample form. An official Census form will be mailed to your household in March, 2010
Census data which indicates how many Thais are located in the U.S. will guide local decision makers in allocating dollars for public
programs for you and your family, which include
- Medical Assistance (such as translation service in Thai)
- Housing Choice Vouchers
- Family Services
- Public Housing
- Lower Income Housing Assistance
- Job Training
- Emergency Food and Shelter
- Supportive Housing for the Elderly
- Small Business Development
- Very Low to Moderate Income Housing Loans
Each uncounted person will result in a loss of over $12,000 in public programs which will benefit you and your
family directly.
